Sail Caribbean

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

About this Project

An immersive marine science programme combining academic instruction with field-based research across coral reefs, seagrass meadows, and open-water environments. Includes seminars, guided in-water activities, and training participants in ecological survey methods, species identification, and data collection techniques. By integrating theory with practical application, the programme built foundational scientific skills while fostering a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems and conservation challenges. The work emphasised experiential learning, enabling participants to engage directly with marine environments and develop a strong sense of environmental responsibility.
